Who am I?

I am many things!

I am a qualified Transformational Coach and Neuro-Linguistics Programming Practitioner. This essentially means, I love working with people to discover ways to create positive and impactful change with people, in their own lives.

But I am so much more too …

My name is Jon (he/him). I am a Welsh man born and raised in South Wales by Northern Irish parents, with 3 loud sisters.

I studied music at the University of Edinburgh, including a 2 year course developing community projects to enrich lives through creative practice.

Upon returning to Wales, I fell in love with Hijinx Theatre, and since 2015 have created and developed our Participation department, which we call PAWB (the Welsh word for ‘everyone’). I engage with neuro-inclusive communities across Wales and wider. This includes our 2018 Stage Award winning initiative, Able to Act.

I have over a decade of experience as a facilitator, theatre director and arts manager.

Other work includes: National Youth Arts, Mess Up the Mess, Taking Flight, Theatre Iolo, Seedbed Theatre, Flying Cloud & Turtle Key Arts, The Arts Council of Wales and more.

Additionally, I am a second term elected Executive Committee Member of ASSITEJ International, an organisation celebrating and advocating for Children’s cultural rights across the globe.

I served as the Chair of the International Inclusive Arts Network (IIAN), 2018-2022, and have been an active member of the ASSITEJ UK Board since 2017.

Finally, I’m a long standing member of the Cardiff Foxes (an LGBTQ+ running group), and love jumping over fire as a Spartan … AROO!

Qualifications.

Let’s get started!
